Just been to an absolutley gorgeous quilt shop in Chichester www.eternalmaker.com, for these gorgeous fabrics to start my 'star' quilt at my class on saturday!! I was thrilled to learn that they do scrapbook stash there too!!! OH MY! Think I will be visiting that shop a little more often!

Monday and Tuesday

Tuesday 26th May

I went to RHS Wisley with Mum on a BPS outing. It was great going on the coach, but we didn't get as much time as we normally have, which was a little frustrating - and I guess we would have bought more if we'd been in the car!

1 Irises in the trials field, wow what a blaze of colour!

2 The new greenhouse. It is looking really fab now things are beginning to grow and fill out both inside and around it. It is 18 months since we last went, so it was good to see the change.

3 These alliums just looked like floating golbes above a sea of grass! Superb planting!

Been in the garden quite a bit today tidying my patio. So here's a pic taken this evening of my pots.

Saturday BH weekend

Just had a photo session with Maurice in his brand new motocross gear! He is going on a fabulous adventure holiday motorcylcing in the Himalayas in August, and needed all the protective gear. So he rode up to Salisbury this morning to buy it all. (Glad he is spending - don't feel so guilty about my scrapbooking stash nowLOL)

Friday morning dog walk

What a gloriuos morning! I walked Merlin along ferring beach and took my camera with my macro lens - and I am really pleased with this shot! It's the sea cabbage stuff that grows on the shingle, and it's all the better for the jet skier in the back ground!

Thursday sewing day

I go to a sewing class on a Thursday morning. I haven't been for a few weeks, but managed to get there this morning. I love it! Here's a sneaky preview to what I am doing atm. It is going to be a very small quilt, like a table mat. It consists of little houses patchworked using the foundation method.

I used my macro lens again for this one. Just can't seem to master it in the garden, but I think that's because it has such a tiny depth of filed as can be seen in this photo. Click on the photo for a larger view.

wednesday 20th May

Where has May gone? Here's a get well card I have made for my cousin who is very unwell at the moment.

I have been trying to take photos with my macro lens again out in the garden. But they are all blurred! Must be camera shake - better get the tripod out.

Tuesday 19th May

I took Merlin for a walk on my own tonight cos DH was visiting his mother. We walked a long way along the beach to see these kite surfers. What a great sight! It must be very exhilerating, they go really fast scimming the waves!

Merlin looking glum after getting back from our morning walk! He had us up in the night - barking to be let out - and we didn't have a very good night's sleep after that. S'OK for him - he sleeps all day!LOL


Sunday 18th May

Some of my purchases from the Craft Barn on Saturday. The Italian stamps are for my Rome and Venice holiday albums (gosh they were really expensive but I couldn't resisit!). The box at the bottom of the pic was what I made at the Metals workshop. It was fab, and of course we had to buy all the tools and some sheets of metal!LOL

Saturday night socialising!

Last night we went out for a really great Indian meal with some friends we have known for a very long time! I am putting my new found people photography skills to use (thanks CJ!). So I took my camera and actually managed to get them to pose for me! (I am usually far too embarrassed to do this) I am very pleased with the results. I have just printed these out because it is Bob's 50th birthday next week, so i am going to make him a miniboook! (Bob is second from the left in the first picture.

Friday wash day

I usually change the beds on a Friday. Here's what it looks like a the moment! Just about to put clean sheets. pillowcases and duvet cover on. Lovely! Actually I feel like getting in there right now (it's 5.30pm!!) I am soooo tired this week. I have worked 4 early mornings (6am) and have had 2 late nights! Catch up time at the weekend. mmmmmm!

Wednesday 13th May

Finally finished my Scrap Your Day album! WOOHOO! It runs from 25th April 2008 to 25th March 2009. I am really pleased with it, it will be great to look back on in later years! Here's a couple of my favourite pages: April and October.

Brighton crop. I didn't take my camera so took these pics when I got home. Our theme was 'Weather' so I dug out these photos of the 1987 storm, when we lived on the seafront!

8th May

Friday at last! Been playing catch up all week cos of BH Monday, but had a free day today, so caught up on lots of housework. Here's a corner of my bathroom, all nice and sparkly now!

Thursday 7th May

Took some pics of my Honda CRV as I am just about to have my first advanced driving lesson! DH bought me the pack for my 50th birthday. I get 6 or so lessons, then take my test to become a member of the Institute of Advanced Drivers. ooh I am nervous now!

Wednesday 6th May

Every Wednesday I have a cool box of organic vegetables deliverd to my door by Riverford (www.riverford.co.uk) We love them! They give a really good range each week, and I am trying new vegetables all the time (this week for example, wet garlic and rhubarb - I never bought rhubarb before!)

BH Monday

We went to Bath for the day to see DS Nicholas. We love Bath! Nicholas took us on a lovely walk he has found that takes you down into Bath from the university, with these stunning views over the city on the way down.

BH Sunday

Merlin running towards me on the beach. I love taking these shots, and have taken a few in my timeLOL! I like to shoot several as he runs towards me. This was the best this morning - just love those ears!

Been playing with photoshop, so this is cropped, sharpened, had levels and curves adjusted!
