My blanket and cushions on the sofa where I have been laying for the last couple of days while the anaesthetic works its way out of my system! I love cuddling up in my blanket - trouble is I have been getting too hot! (Hot flushes me thinks!) Feeling much better today, and intend to keep my lunch date with my friends, and hopefully go out tonight for our annual Christmas meal with some old friends!

Rough, smooth and bristle!
SMOOTH
A big puddle in the car park where I like to walk the dog. I love the reflections in the smooth water
BRISTLE
Would you call these bristles? It's my pampas grass in the front garden. I have a real love/hate relationship with pampas grass! Love the sun shining through the bristles/fronds in September, but hate how it gets blown about by the wind, and having to cut it down in the spring!
ROUGH
some peeling paintwork on a beach hut near here. I took loads of photos of the beach huts while doing Cheryl's photo course. I really must make a mini album of them, and maybe frame a few for the wall!
This is a cheat's catch up! None of these are photos I have taken this week, but I have loved looking through my photo files to find photos that fit the brief! Will use my camera tomorrow I promise!
Catching up with this week's prompts. I had minor surgery on Tuesday, and am now recovering from the after effects of anaesthesia! YUK!

catching up
Just playing catch up here! Here are 2 I took on my dog walk this morning:
Grain.
This is part of a sculpture garden on the beach, supposed to be demonstrating plants for drought! Not that we have had any drought this year LOL! I love the way the sea air has lifted the grain, and the wood sculptures have gone silver.
Alley
This is an alley I sometimes walk along. Merlin had a little fight with another dog along here this morning. Luckily they were both on leads, so able to drag them apart!! Bit scary though, the old ticker was racing after that! He's not normally an aggressive dog, but just occasionally he gets into a scrap. Wonder what it is that makes him do that?
Sorry it's not a very good picture! Bit out of focus, but I have cropped it to try and make it look more interesting!

SPS and SOS
Not sure which way round this is supposed to be. Is it self-portrait Saturday, or Self-portrait Sunday? Never mind, it's Sunday, and here are both!
My 'show-off' picture was taken on Friday morning on the beach just down from our house. I love the way you can point your digital camera straight at the sun, and it still captures a picture! You couldn't have done that with film could you? It was a lovely sunny cold frosty morning, just right for getting good outdoor shots. The jet trails make the sky interesting. There is a bit of flare in the middle of the pebbles, but I quite like that!

MY 'self-portrait' was taken by DH a couple of years ago on holiday in Spain. We stayed in our friends villa between Moriara and Javea on the Costa Blanca. We stayed for 2 weeks which was too long - we got bored, and it was too hot! Lovely villa though, fab setting right up high on a cliff top, but a horrible drive up windy twisty roads to get to it!
It's one of the best photos of me, and I use it for avatars and CJs!!
