Mum and I have been visiting another garden. We visited the Sussex Prairie Garden in nearby Henfield. I don’t know why we hadn’t heard of it before! It is a 6 acre field planted in prairie style, with large blocks of plants in interlocking beds. The great thing is that you can wander through the beds on little bark chip paths, and enjoy the plants close up
The weather was much cooler and overcast today so much better for taking photos. Here’s a better on of Mum sitting on one of the gorgeous benches scattered around the garden:
Finally, one for the Scavenger Hunt. Didn’t expect to see buffalo on the South coast of England did you? So this is my ‘thing clearly out of place’.
I am linking up with Rinda’s Scavenger Hunt roundup for July. Do pop by and see what everyone else has captured through their lenses!

Henfield brings back loads of memories. Both my friend and uncle and aunt lived there I and I went to school in Steyning. I'll have to ask my friend about it,

That garden is just so pretty, and what a sweet photo of your mom on the bench. Great find with the buffalos! I have yet to fulfill that item on my list.
Ah I've seen that garden on the telly - remember the buffalo and thinking I should try and track it down for a wander. How fun to see it here :) Definitely a good addition to the out of place collection!
gorgeous flowers and what a pretty bench!
The bison are gorgeous!!! Since they belong to the prairie they belong to this very special garden as well I guess. Even the rusty color comes close...
I love the photograph of your mom - it's so special. And, yes, bison, very out of place!
Thanks for linking up,
Rinda

Super finds - I love gasses and envy you the cance to see prairie planting up close. … a lovely photo of your Mum, and the angle of those bison is visually really interesting.
I always love your photos! I'm still looking for something out of place; I'm surprised at how difficult it's proving to be for me.
