Pennines in camera

We have just got back from a few days in the Yorkshire Pennines.  We were on a HFHolidays break learning about landscape photography from professional photographer Derek Forss.  We were a small group of 9, all very interesting and lovely people! We spent 3 days walking and photographing the Pennines around Malhamdale.

We learnt loads about landscape photogrpahy, in particular, how to capture the changing light.  I learned about exposure and will be changing my settings much more to experiment in different light situations.

 

Here’s a few of my favourite shots:

Looking up to the monument to the desposition of Napoleon on Stoodley Pike.  We walked up there and had our lunch right by the monument.

On the third day, the clouds were too low to ascend Pen-y-Ghent, so we set about chasing the light as the cloud lifted:
