A couple of statistics from the kitchen makeover:
20.6 sq metres of flooring. We have chosen this lovely grey vinyl:
4 very groovy orange chairs purchased.
9.3m of curtain fabric purchased, plus 8.8m of curtain lining. All ready for me to start making them!
As I write, there are 4 things left to do:
make curtains
order blind for window over sink
get fridge door fixed
glass splashback for behind hob
Happy to say they are all in hand.
In the garden, my 6 roses are flowering well. Here are 4 of them:
This pink rose has 28 flowers and approx 300 buds! (I counted about half of them, then guesstimated the total!)
Craft wise, I made 14 Project Life cards for a swap:
Finally, my daughter Lucy and niece Izzy ran the race for life along Worthing Seafront.
They ran 3km in just under 30 minutes. Lucy has raised over £200 for Cancer Research UK. It was a gorgeous day, and the whole family were out to support her! Here’s some cute photos of my brother’s 18 month old granddaughter Tillie trying to get my brother’s hat on her head:

Fabulous photos as always - love your very funky kitchen!!
Linda, I am impressed your very smart kitchen - look at those see-through chairs! I love the fabric too ...
what a cutie trying on the big hat. Loving your kitchen - I love grey and orange and have orange walls in my kitchen.
I'm loving the grey and orange and how that beautiful curtain fabric pulls it all together
Love your colour scheme. I do love a pop of colour but I always get scared. My husband is not ah ugh fan of bright colour, he is still talking about our bright yellow pillow cases. Your orange chairs are very cool though.
Loving the kitchen!! I'm a huge fan of grey and the orange is great with it - love the fabric.
The roses look wonderful too - and it sounds like there's plenty more yet to open throughout the rest of this lovely summer we're having.
And congratulations to your daughter + niece on their fundraising - good for them.
Your June is pinned to the Month in Numbers board with the other counter-uppers now Linda: http://pinterest.com/notesonpaper/my-month-in-numbers/
Here's to a happy remainder-of-July [I hope the trip went well]!
Julie :-)
