Arundel Castle Gardens and Mother’s Day

I went to Arundel Castle gardens with Sarah on Friday.  We had decided that we’d go to a garden and decided on Arundel as it was a bit wet and overcast and our other choice might be muddy!  We were hoping for some Spring colour, and we weren’t disappointed:

It was Mother’s day yesterday.  Neither Nicholas or Lucy were at home until later in the day, as Lucy had gone to visit friends in Oxford.  I had suggested to Nicholas that he contact Lucy to arrange to meet her and give her my mother’s day and birthday presents to bring back (teehee!)  Unbeknown to me, Lucy had done the same thing!  She came back with chocolates for my birthday and a gorgeous handbag that they bought as a joint present.  Poor Nicholas!  He is going to get nagged silly when he comes home in a few weeks!  He’s coming home at easter to work in Horsham, until he goes back to university in Bath for his final year in September.

Mum came to dinner and we had a lovely roast dinner – all posh in the dining room!  Maurice took some pictures of Mum, me and Lucy but he used flash, and Lucy always blinks!   This is the best one:
