Sunny Wednesday

I thought I would try and depict the weather in some other way than just sun and blue sky pics - so as we are all getting out our sunglasses..... here they are! These are a collection of sunglasses found around my house, most of them I have to say belong to DD!!!

I got DD to stand behind me and took a pic of our reflection in these crazy purple ones, then used unsharp mask in photoshop to get this effect. That's the conservatory roof above.

Sunny spells Tuesday

Following on from my 'weather' theme, here is the sky this morning from the beach looking north. The forecast is for sunny spells, with heavy showers possibly thunderous. The sky certainly tells this story!















Just had to include this one too! I am loving the way that the petals fall from the blossoming trees. So I tired to capture this on a photo! Thsi tree is in someone's garden on my walk down to the beach.

Rainy Monday

It hasn't stopped raining today! What a contrast to yesterday! Here's a massive raindrop on the leaf of the sedum right by my front door.

Sunday 26th April

We had friends round for tea, and I tried taking some candid shots for my People Imagery course. Goodness it is hard! I am having trouble getting the focus correct!! (Could it be a problem with my new lens - I hope not) Here are the best ones.

saturday 25th april

Been playing with my new reflector today!! I have a 5 in 1, so gold, silver, black and white + translucent. This is Lucy (DD) taken this evening with her back to the sun and the gold filter.

Friday morning coffee

Coffee at Sarah's usually involves gorgeous cakes! Here's the cake we had today (oops sorry Lesley, but I did eat it!!) How gorgeous is that?!!

Thursday busy day!

Thursday is my busy busy day atm! Off to sewing in a min, then work 3pm till 8pm. YUK! So I took my cmaera with me on my dog wlak this morning, and here are 2 of the best. I am really trying to tweak them in photoshop now, these 2 have been sharpened and had the lebels twiddled! (Especially the beach huts which looks a bit dark on the original)

Just been mucking about in the garden trying to take pics of DD for my photography course with Cheryl. Here's a fun one we took!

Tuesday 21st April

Something a little different! I was trying to take a photo of my magazines for a LO I want to do, but it wasn't very good, a bit blurry and colours not that great! So I photoshopped it!! Actually not sure what I did, but adjusted sharpness, twiddled with levels and then applied a watercolour filter, with a film grain!!! Anyway I quite like the effect.

Monday 20th April

I love this time of year when the new fresh green shoots are appearing! Here is a fern frond unfurling. What a miracle nature is??

Sunday sad day!

Sad day today! Nicholas has gone back to uni at Bath. Only 6 weeks until he is back again. I feel a bit bereft right now because DH has just taken him, and I am here all alone (except the dog!) till he gets back.

Don't worry, I will be fine tomorrow! I can put my sewing out again now!!! (where he had his computer)

I am still tired. so off for another little nap now.

Saturday 18th April

Gosh, isn't April going quickly! I was going to clean the house then spend the afternoon scrapping. But isntead I have spent the afternoon napping!! Here is a LO I started last week, and have just finished. It is a scraplift from a Big Picture Scrapbook course I took a long time ago - 'Product playground 2' by Lisa Damrosch. This class was to include sewing. I quite like the sewing, but it takes a bit long for me- I am a very quick scrapper! This LO Is in my A-Z of Everyday Things, M for Merlin. (Another project I started last year!)

Thursday 16th April. Still got the detritus of travel all over the place! Need to tiday up and put away!












Friday 17th April. Off out for lunch today, so here's a self portrait taken in my mirror!

Wednesday 15th April

We popped into B&Q to get some sample wallpaper for our bedroom. They looked so gorgeous all together, I just had to take a pic!

The day we visited the Vatican. I love this shot of people touching the feet of St Peter. His toes were very shiny from the millions of hands that have touched them.

Easter Saturday

Couldn't choose just 1 photo today!

We went to Mum's this afternoon to help finish apiting the summerhouse, and Maurice put up this mirror in the back room, specifically to reflect the garden. See it works!








The summerhouse looks fab now, really well positioned in the corner of the garden.












Still trying to get macro photos that are in focus! These two worked quite well!

9th and 10th April

10th April Good Friday, and it has rained all day so far! The forecast is not so good for tomorrow either! So I tried to capture the rain in my photo today. Here is a view out of my back door.

I have just started a Poeple Imagry course with Cheryl Johnson, so you might get to see some people shots! I am very nervous about taking photos of people, so this will be a challenge!

April 5th

Taken on Ferring beach this morning. How gorgeous was my early morning walk??? I have played with this a bit - tweaked the brightness, contrast and reduced the colour saturation.

Madly rushing around this morning getting ready for my crop! Printing this photo and taking photo of it printing - that is definately chasing my tail!

April 3rd. Merlin in the garden. Amazing to think I have got this far without including one of him!! He is enjoying pulling all these sticks down the garden for a good old chew atm!
